Coming after a string of singles releases including, the lo-fi afroswing-laced ‘One N Only’, the head-bopping single ‘Control’, which has support from the likes of COMPLEX, DUMMY and Glide Magazine, with a spin on BBC Radio 1 Introducing show with Gemma Bradley, among others - with Glide praising the track’s “fluttering and catchy genre-bender, mixing R&B feel with top-notch hip hop flow”, and the letter commending on the effortless feel of the track - and feel good number 'Break The Ice', featuring a stand-out verse from French-British rapper AVC. While newest singles ‘Link Hands’ (Time to Fight), featuring soul singer Kymara and London’s wordsmith Loraxx is a powerful protest song, in J P’s owns words, “Me and Loraxx - who is my very close friend - voice our qualms and frustrations with modern society's constraints, while Kymara beautifully laces her powerful hooks along the top”. Written in summer 2020, shortly after the tragic events of George Floyds death and the burning down of the Amazon, the song’s lyrics deeply reflect that moment in time.

The entirely self-produced debut mixtape ‘Lo-Soul’, proves J P’s skills, easily his talents in songwriting, producing, and singing, providing another glimpse into an immersive nine track, 30 minute exploration into JP's wide range and eclectic musicality, it’s wonderfully tied together by his conscious rhymes, soulful delivery and lo-fi production. For the project, JP flexes his A&R muscles, recruiting artists from different parts of the world to help bring his creations to life, championing a new wave of UK artists whose music is as much rooted in hip hop and soul as in new styles; underground frontrunner Feux, London rapper, illustrator and designer Kieron Boothe, Kumo Collective’s French-born, London-raised rapper AVC, QM Records’ Brighton-based Dutch soul singer Kymara and Rag’n’Bone Man’s backing vocalist, R&B singer Sylvia Mwenze, to name a few.
